One Lutheran's Thoughts

Live and grow, change, reform...well, this blog used to be my 'primary' space, but not any more. This is now the online 'home' of my poetic ramblings and musings. Sometimes there is a faith/theological hue, while others not so much. Check out the pictures. Remember - literacy is visual too!

A New Poem - The Wind Is Blowing

The Wind Is Blowing

The wind is blowing
bringing power and destruction
Water and chaos, fear and pain

But the breath of life is blowing
stirring the sound of a new day

The wind is blowing
bringing people and communities
Hearts and minds, hands and feet

And the breath of life is blowing
stirring the sound of a new day

The wind is blowing
bringing song and hope
Love and wonder, rebuilding and growth

So the breath of life is blowing
stirring the sound of a new day

Stirring the family and
bringing the song of new life
To our ears and hearts

Blowing the winds of hope and promise
the winds of a new day.
