One Lutheran's Thoughts

Live and grow, change, reform...well, this blog used to be my 'primary' space, but not any more. This is now the online 'home' of my poetic ramblings and musings. Sometimes there is a faith/theological hue, while others not so much. Check out the pictures. Remember - literacy is visual too!

Faces

A maze of faces,
voices, praises.
Eyes reaching in.
Deep.
Unknown, yet...
known,
loved.
Closeness stirring the sweat
of the body;
stirring the fellowship
of the spirit.
Eyes reaching in.
Deeper.
The touch of family;
the taste of love.
The larger arms embracing.

Ordination - written following the ordination of a pastor in my synod

Like a strange, yet 'real' graduation
The procession in was shocking
Multiple pastors proceeding in
Followed up by the shepherd

The shepherd stood back and the
pastors took the lead
Reading, telling stories and sharing advice

The the 'vows' - with the shepherd up front
The other pastors laid their hands on him
to welcome him into their vocation

Will this be me someday?
